The Car
I intend on using a 2011 3.7L V6 Ford Mustang (S197) , it makes 305bhp, its dry weight is approximately 3,450lbs, it has a 6 speed manual transmission and a factory limited-slip differential. Now, you may be thinking that Mustangs are for straight line performance, not cornering, I understand your concern as handling is one of the most important factors for a Rally car, not to worry though as the S197 Chassis is phenomenal for handling.

And that's just the chassis, the 3.7L Ford Cyclone V6 engine is also quite stout, it has been used in the Ginetta G50 GT4 car and in that application Ginetta was able to make 370bhp reliably.

So it's for these reasons that I believe my S197 Mustang will make an amazing long term 2WD Rally Car!
2024 Goals
I am looking to compete in the 2WD Kitchener-Waterloo Rally Club (KWRC) Rallycross Championship and potentially the Ontario Rallycross Championship (ORXC). The vehicle I intend on using is a 2011 V6 Ford Mustang, which is a 305bhp, RWD, 6spd car. I strongly believe it will be very competitive with proper components (mainly tires) and me behind the wheel. I'm quite confident that I can win the KWRC and ORXC 2WD Championship with enough support.
The KWRC has 5 rounds, I plan on attending 4 of those (they only count your 4 best results from the season anyway), the first KWRC event I could possibly attend is July 8th, 2023. As for the ORXC, I plan on competing in 9 events, which include the 4 KWRC events, 3 PMSC and 2 MLRC events.

2024 Rallycross Season Expenses
The total cost to compete in the KWRC Championship is about $5,000 CAD. This price includes expenses such as:

- Brakes $1,500
- Tires: $2,500
- SA2020 Helmet: $400
- Entry fees and gas: $550
To compete in the full ORXC, I would need an additional $1,200 CAD, this is purely for Entry fees and gas.
